Meet Swara, the Chef, Beautician, recipe developer and Web Designer behind Swara's Sweet Delights which features simple, healthy and friendly recipes.

​

Hello! Friends.. I am Swara and I live in Bangalore, India. I have always been fascinated by food and aspects related to it. Being born and bought up in Mumbai; I have fond memories of eating chats, savouries and sweets with family and friends. I miss those good old Mumbai days.

​

I am an optimistic person and love cooking and travelling. My specialities are mainly eggless and ovenless baking, chats, chocolates etc. I am a Beautician by profession and own a Beauty Salon based in Bangalore. I also like doing creative things.

​

I started cooking from very young age and got appreciation too from family members. I always loved to try new things and it was my mom who always encouraged me. Thus, my interest and curiosity coupled with a great passion for food and made me even more confident in trying new recipes.

​

I completed my MBA in Human Resources and was working as a HR professional with a private firm. Though I worked for Corporate sector, I always dreamt of having my own business. My dream came true soon after marraige. I started my Beauty Salon and this was all possible only because of the support I got from husband and in laws.  

​

Though I had a salon, I always craved for more creative work in my field of passion. I used to bake variety of cakes, lip smacking snacks, chocolates, etc. for family and friends. I used to try many new tricks and techniques to make the recipes more healthy and tasty. I used to bake frequently. It was then, my parents, sisters and friends suggested that I should explore my hidden talents and creativity and so finally I decided to start a small home based baking venture and classes too. Finally I came up with my blog; "Swara's Sweet Delights" and my Youtube channel with same name. Thanks to my cousin Urvee, without whom it was not at all possible and also my husband. He always appreciated and motivated me and supported me in my every decision. He is also my biggest food critics ;-)

Besides cooking, I like to engage myself in creative activities like arts and crafts. I do love drawing and painting. Making artistic rangoli designs is also one of my hidden talent ;-)

 

I love exploring new places. Thanks to my husband because of whom I got the opportunity to visit many beautiful places. Also, I keep researching for natural ingredients and remedies for many of the skin related issues which today's women are facing. You can also find some of the natural beauty tips on my blog.

The main aim of starting this blog is to inspire others to cook. Here you will find all wonderful and creative recipes, especially easy to make (bake) ones. Though the name of the blog is Swara's Sweet Delights; you will find here savoury recipes also.
