Instant Chakli 

Ingredients:

Rice Flour - 2 cups

Fine Rava/Sooji or Semolina - 1 cup

Butter - lemon size (at room temperature)

Jeera or cumin seeds - 1 tspn

Ajwain or carrom seeds - 1 tspn

Sesame seeds - 2 tspn

Asafoetida or hing - 1/4 tspn

Red chilly powder - 1 1/2 tspn

Salt - as per taste

Method:

​

  1. Take a pan and add 2 cups of water and add salt to taste.

  2. Once the water boils add rava or semolina to it and mix it well immediately to avoid lumps.

  3. The mixture will start thickening.

  4. Switch of the flame and take it in a plate.

  5. Add cumin seeds, carrom seeds, sesame seeds, red chilly powder, asafoetida and butter to it.

  6. Add rice flour and knead a semi soft dough.

  7. Keep oil for heating and meanwhile put some amount of dough in the chakli mould and press out chaklis from it.

  8. Fry them till crisp and serve.
