Besan Rava Laddu

Ingredients:

Besan or Gram flour - 1 kg

Fine rava/Sooji or semolina - 1 1/2 cup

Powdered sugar - as required

Ghee - as required

Raisins - 1/4 cup

Chironji - 1 tbspn (You can use nuts of your choice.

Cardamom powder or elaichi powder - 1 tspn

Method:

​

  1. Add 1 tbspn of ghee to the pan and add fine rava to it.

  2. Roast till light golden.

  3. Take it out on plate and add some ghee to the pan.

  4. Add gram flour or besan and roast till it turns light golden brown. (It will take some time to roast the besan. You have to roast it on a low flame. Add little more ghee if required.)

  5. Take the besan on plate and let it cool.

  6. Once it is cooled completely, add rava, cardamom powder, raisins and chironji.

  7. Add powdered sugar as per your taste and mix well.

  8. Add melted ghee so that you can easily make laddus out of the mixture.

  9. This mixture yields upto 55-60 medium sized laddus.
