Hello!!! A warm welcome of all to Swara's Sweet Delights. I know last few days all were busy celebrating Ganesha festival and having fun. In this couple of days you all must have gorged on lovely modaks and other sweets. Even I had a loads of sweets. Me and my husband was bored of the sweets and we seriously wanted a change. A change in our taste bud.
I was tempted to eat chats. But as it was raining outside, I opted to make it at home as all materials were available in my pantry. I made Ragda Patties, which we both like a lot. It took me some time for the preparation. But the wait for it was worth. The final product was simply awesome as well as mouth watering. We gorged on it forgetting the calorie meter ;-)
Ragda Patties or Ragda Pattice as it is called in Mumbai is a popular street food there. In north side it is mainly called as "Aloo Tikki Chat". It is a potato patty topped with a semi liquid consistency of cooked pulses or garbanzo beans. It is also topped with spicy and tangy chutneys and some onion, tomatoes. I still remember the times when after college we friends used to have this chat of roadside carts. Also this is very popular with the vendors outside Mumbai beaches. It is a must try dish if you visit Mumbai anytime. Here I am posting a simple and easy to make recipe for the same. Do try at home and enjoy with your family and friends.
